⭐️ If you happen to be in Xiao Liu Qiu

⭐️ If you love natural light

⭐️ If you’re craving a “canvas > painting in front of window” vibe

⭐️ If you love journaling or just sketching little doodles

⭐️ If you need some place that can give you that inspirational energy to write some

college essays, do some art, read 📚🎨

I ran in this coffee shop when I was at Xiao Liu Qiu to hide from the rain. That was the best decision I made on this trip.

It was the first week of summer when I went on this trip, which means I was just letting myself fully die (in terms of completely shutting down my brain after just finishing Junior year).

Journaling has been a long habit of mine, and because I’ve grown so used to functioning with my journal, it has made me feel like I can’t close a chapter or move on from something until I’ve finished an entry about it. So, given that the previous month was spent studying and hopefully finishing the school year strong, it meant that I had a lot of piled-up baggage in the waiting line to be written down so that I could start my summer fresh 🌻

I’m so glad it absolutely poured that day and that it trapped me in the cutest coffee shop on some little island, because nothing feels better than a nice brunch + iced latte + rain on the roofs, and being able to just journal stress free for the first time in a while.

I love the feeling of a “first week of summer break”.

WINDOWSSS. This place felt like a glass house. The entire entrance ceiling was made of glass, dream naps bro to just stare at and hear rain fall.

look at the little elephant 🐘

I dream to have a kitchen to feel like this coffee shop when 我長大 💭

The End 🧘‍♂️

Sometimes when I’m overloaded with stuff to do, instead of responding to it by simply doing the tasks, I think I zone out a bit and end up doing absolutely nothing about my pile of responsibilities. That’s where journaling comes in for me. My books in a way are a physical copy of wtv is happening in my head, so by literally wrting it out, seeing it in front of my eyes, it helps clear up the fog, the mess, the stress, the overthinking, all a bit easier. Giving yourself 30 minutes to maybe journal with a nice snack + rain on a clear glass roof (if applicable 😆) to start fresh, is maybe better than working 3 hours unproductively. So, if you ever feel like it’s all too much, you’re not wasting time by taking a step back, giving your head a little prepping time before using your brain cells again.
