Hi! Welcome to Joce Goes Places!

I’m Jocelyn, currently 17, so if you’re close to my age, trust me I can relate. This platform is a combo of my 3 favorite things: journaling 📝, traveling 🧳 , and just hanging out with my camera taking photos and videos 📸

 

For a while, knowing there were pretty places out there waiting for me was the only thing that managed to get me out of bed, out my room, out my front door. And for the past four years, since the first time I spontaneously hopped on that train to Taoyuan on a random Tuesday after school, exploring has become my energy source, my battery 🦦

 

My camera is my best friend🫶, and with me on this journey she has taught me to see the little details, revealing all the hiding stories that make me feel connected even when going around alone. The travel journey itself with all the interactions along the way keeps my steps going, excited to do more, see more, live on more. Lastly, journaling has just been a long habit of mine that just sums it all up at the end of the day, keeping me reflective, and bonus point keeping my +70 years grandma self entertained with all these youngster stories 👵

 

That’s Jocelyn with energy in a nutshell, but after all, I am 17, and there are days where I want nothing else but to be wrapped up in bed. I have my share of stress, which you guys will certainly see rants about in my entries, but it is also that stress that motivates me to find places, maybe with some grass, with some air, that helps make it all a little bit better 🧘‍♂️

 

So if you’re a little like me, struggling to get out of bed, struggling to find that spark or motivation, I hope this platform, this space can help get you on your feet together with me. Trust me it’s fun, and you’ll fall in love discovering a whole world out there, as small as Taiwan might seem to be.
